From a phenomenological perspective, the meaning of lived experience surpasses all reductionism and neutralizes the pretensions that, from neuroscientific positivism or from psychologism, seem to impose on a conception of awareness open to the deployment of human faculties. Kant's "The Conflict of the Faculties" proposes that one of them, Medicine, reduces man to an organism, thus subordinating his life to technical criteria outside of philosophical consciousness. This approach helps us address the problem, on the one hand, from self-awareness, on the other, from a critique of scientistic reductionism as a philosophical obstacle, and finally, by outlining the advantages of Uexküll's perspective and the emergence of awareness in the background of a semantic biologism.
