Author Biography

Jan Edson Rodrigues Leite, Universidade Federal da Paraíba

Full Professor of Linguistics and Portuguese at the Federal University of Paraíba. He holds a Licenciado Degree in Modern Languages and a Bachelor Degree in Law. His post-graduate studies include a Master's Degree in Linguistics from the Federal University of Paraíba and a PhD in Linguistics from the Federal University of Pernambuco, where he defended his dissertation on the field of Cognitive Linguistics. He went on a post-doctoral research internship in Cognitive Linguistics at the University of Louisiana at Lafayette (USA). Currently he is a professor in the Graduate Program in Linguistics and the Department of Portuguese Language and Linguistics at UFPB. His research experience is in Cognitive Linguistics and Semantics, working mainly on the following topics: inference processing and comprehension, linguistic-cognitive deficits, conceptual integration and spatial cognition.
