Introduction: The exposure of certain social, economic and behavioral factors are directly related to the perceptions of life that the academic has during graduation, directly interfering with their Quality of Life (QoL). The objective was to associate sociodemographic factors with scores in the QoL domains (psychological, physical, social relationships and environment) in Health Sciences students from two universities in the interior of the state of Goiás. Method: This is a quantitative cross-sectional study. A total of 488 eligible participants were selected for the study, using the Whoqol-bref instrument to measure QoL. For statistical analysis, the Mann-Whitney and Kruskall-Wallis tests were used for association analysis. Results: The psychological domain was the most affected among participants, especially among females. The physical and environmental domains also showed significant associations, since self-reported brown students had better scores in the physical domain than self-reported black students, and those who reported monthly family income above six minimum wages had better scores in the environment domain compared to the other groups. Conclusion: Support from teaching institutions and government is needed to reduce the vulnerability of these groups, promoting qualified and inclusive training for all academics.
