In 2019, the study and research group FIDELID-UFPB was responsible for the Graduate Program in Religion Sciences -UFPB, for the continued training of religious education teachers of the municipal network of João Pessoa. To structure continuing education, it was necessary to reflect on the difficulties faced by the target audience, its obstacles and its limitations, in order to contribute to their daily school life in a theoretical-methodological way. Thus, twelve (12) trainers were invited to discuss, in nine (9) monthly meetings, about Religious Education in the Common National Curriculum Base (BNCC), about the rescue of the dimension and understanding of the sacred in the BNCC and respect for religious diversity. At the end of the activities, we had the opportunity to know the repercussion, because the IV Seminar of the FIDELID Research Group was held, which sought to listen to teachers about the activities carried out in the classroom during the school year and which were inspired by the contents worked in continuing education in 2019. Analyzing how respect for diversity was addressed during Continuing Education is the objective of this work. To this end, we dialogued with authors of the area who turn to religious tolerance, teacher education, BNCC and Religious Education, as well as addressed the motivations for the choice of training themes, the structuring of the contents addressed and the repercussions in the school context. As results, we highlight that the approaches worked in continuing education encouraged teachers to work dynamically with the BNCC, sacred, diversity and religious tolerance in the classroom, thinking and adapting these contents to the initial and final series.
