The research was conducted with a crab-gathering fishermen population, whose social and material reproduction depend mainly on the caranguejo-uçá (Ucides cordatus) gathering. The aim of this study was verify the crab-gathering fishermen productivity. The data for this fishery reveal its importance as a supply of high quality animal proteins to the market. The "braceamento" technique is a simpler and most efficient capture method than "tapamento". The summer was the most productive period.Descargas
