E-Learning Production in Brasil: Disonance with International Hot Topics

Abstract

This paper aims to analyze the Brazilian and international publications about e-learning to verified if has a concordance between them, this mean, if the international most important author are cited in local research. The research focus is e-learning in business area. Was used bibliometric approach to identified national and international stage about e-learning papers and compare it. The results showed: these kinds of papers are increasing in last decade; the authors with the greatest number of jobs are not the most relevant; the focus is in educational area; in local studies were not cited the international hot topics. Thus, is possible concluded that is a gap between local and international research and the local papers are based on referrals of minor importance and relevance. So was proved that is a dissonance between Brazilian studies and international hot topics.
