Abstract

Our purpose is to present the Levinas’s reflection about hermeneutics and otherness. It involves exposing the concepts and relations of ideas he articulated to express his conception of hermeneutics. Thus, delimited as scope of our reflection text " Hermeneutics and beyond." His main question is: the psyche is exhausted to unfold the energy of the essence, the position of ones? Thus, the decisive question is whether the psychic can mean " otherwise". There is an alternative to the activity of the soul beyond of being, the identity and the presence? Since the opening of the text he offers a possible perspective of the task and the sense of hermeneutics: " this thought aspires to a beyond , to a deeper than itself - to a transcendence different from beside himself that intentional consciousness opens and crosses ". The examination of conscience that intentionality structure by establishing a necessary correlation between consciousness andthing, noeses and noema, he proposes the notion of transcendence as a break this thought pattern and maintenance of otherness and difference. The ethical experience, to be a relation to another, is also irreducible to thematization objective and therefore is able to produce the opening that enables one tell others the own infinite. And so the always open desire of the proximity of another may bring wisdom to experience of love and keep the meaning of otherness as a matter always given to interpretation.
