Abstract
Objective: This article is a case study that seeks to understand the relationships of factors and events that impact the risk management of a University Center, in the form of Distance Education (EAD), offered by the business school, more specifically through courses at the level of specialization in the accounting area. The objective of the investigation of this study focuses on the observation of how the use of Risk Management tools can contribute to the preparation of Teaching Material in a Higher Education Institution Method: The research stands out as being descriptive and explanatory, as it seeks to understand how the management of Lato Sensu courses is structured, from the perspective of Risk Management. Two coordinators of the Accounting course were interviewed, to understand the factors that impact on the elaboration of Didactic Material and how they can help managers to reduce the existing risks on this activity, which represents the main product of Distance Education. After analyzing the interview, the Failure Modes and Effects Analysis (FMEA) tool - Failure Modes and Effects Analysis was chosen to manage the richness of the Didactic Material preparation process in distance learning, in a Higher Education Institution . Contributions and Relevance: This theme is relevant because it was identified that, although there are several factors that reflect on the quality of teaching, the student who attends Distance Education qualifies the teaching material made available to them as one of the main elements to evaluate the quality of the institutionDownloads
