DIANA HUNTRESS: THE ACT OF TRANSGRESSING THE CONSTRUCTION OF POSTMODERN FEMALE SUBJECT

Abstract

This article aims to establish a possible discussion about the transgression as an element to the construction of the women’s identity in post modernity. Through this perspective, we are going to present the struggle of women throughout the history and its consequence when in the 70’s, female authors started to give more space and respect in literature, especially, in Brazil. Through Marcia Denser’s book, Diana Caçadora, we are going to analyze the transgression of the old values of the society and from this aspect, establish a possible discussion about the new women character in society. In this new context in Brazilian literature, Helena Parente Cunha, Lia Luft, Nelida Piñon and Clarice Lispector, among others, are important authors in this approach.
