Abstract

In recent years, research with children and childhoods have considered scenarios and contexts, expanding the voices and ways of understanding about the theme and children as subjects of rights, participative and active in their processes. To research with children is to understand their surroundings, their cultures and realities inserted, in constant dialogues and exchanges. This article dialogues with ethical and methodological issues based on doctoral and postdoctoral research (2014 to 2021) conducted with children in southern Mozambique. Understanding the ways in which research and its methodologies have been thought and its inaugural relationship to the pandemic, it is also necessary to align the ethical issues with the times and conditions in which the research takes place, expanding the debate to the current situation and its modifications. Research with children is still a challenge and requires the researcher sensitivity and availability of creation and reinvention with children.
