Hospitality of the World – The aesthetic Idealism of Evaldo Coutinho

In this article, I intend to present Evaldo Coutinho's solipsistic conception through the thesis that hospitality is the main characteristic of subjectivity. The text is divided into three parts: in the first, I present the existential character of the cognitive relationship between consciousness and the world; in the second, the absolute and cosmic dimension of death, and finally, in the third, aesthetic receptivity as a counterpoint to the impermanence of the world. The whole explains the core of inclusive solipsism: it is the exercise of creating and preserving the physiognomic universe through aesthetic subjectivation, carried out in the light and shadow of finitude.
