Abstract

Queste pagine sono tratte dall’opera principale di Michelstaedter, La persuasione e la rettorica, che si dichiara già nelle pagine introduttive, aspirante a «dignità filosofica» e a «concretezza artistica» . Pensieri e astrazioni si presentano in un linguaggio metaforico, nel tentativo di riavvicinare la filosofia alla vita, sotto il segno di una sincerità assoluta, nella ricerca della possibilità d’essere liberi.

Author Biography

Angela Michelis, Professor of II level in Moral Philosophy for National Scientific Habilitation in Italy (2014). Professor of Philosophy and History at Italian Lyceum in Cuneo.

Degree in Philosophy cum laude at the University of Turin in 1995, with a biennial post-graduate specialization. Doctor of research in Philosophy and Philosophical Hermeneutics at the University of Turin by performing a stage at the New School for Social Research of  New York on the theme of freedom and responsibility in Hans Jonas, of which he has published and translated Jonas’ unpublished works, as well as a monograph. Numerous articles and books on Carlo Michelstaedter, some articles on Augusto Del Noce, Italian philosophers. Interested in history of philosophy, in contemporary theoretical and moral thought and its roots in classical philosophy.
In the three years 2006-2009 has been research assistant. Member in examination boards of theoretical and aesthetic philosophy at the Department of Philosophy of the University of Turin. Professor of II level in Moral Philosophy for National Scientific Habilitation in Italy (2014)
