This study aims to point out recommendations and adaptations of architectural accessibility applicable to libraries to become able to receive people with disabilities in an inclusive way. It consists of a qualitative research with exploratory and descriptive approach. Bibliographical and documentary study, presents the context of the inclusion of people with disabilities based on Brazilian legislation. Regarding the architectural accessibility applied to the library, it adopts the regulations of the Brazilian Association of Technical Standards. The concept of library, society and its relationship with the disabled person is based on several authors and works related to Librarianship and Information Science. Finally, the study contextualizes and highlights possible adaptations and improvements to libraries, as a diffuser and democratizer of information and thus promoting access to the physical space of the library to all audiences.
