Abstract

The experience report discusses the production of the student program Momento Olímpico – A Série, which combines soundscapes with storytelling techniques as outlined by McHugh (2014). The project explores sound narrative as an educational tool, retrieving historical audio from the Olympic Games to create an immersive auditory experience that connects the listener to significant moments in sports. This approach values audio as a medium for knowledge construction and as an instrument for social transformation (Kaplún, 2017). Additionally, the production offers a meaningful practical experience for students, developing research, content curation, and audio production skills. The creative process, which involves retrieving sound archives, proposes a mediographic operation (Silva, 2011) that encourages critical reflection on collective memory and the role of media in historical preservation.
