Indigestible and seductive:

the underworld of marginal comics

Abstract

After the initial success, the comics have been seen as evil to the forming of youth for supposedly encouraging violence, delinquency and drive away young people from the good manners and customs of American society. The reaction came in the form of law, determining a severe code of ethics that surround the creative freedom of authors and publishers. In the midst of the movement of opposition that exploded from the 1960s, came the underground comics, launched in the form of independent magazines by the authors. These magazines been disregarded the code of ethics to address issues such as free sex, drugs and all sorts of perversion. This kind of marginal comics and production won the world and influenced a whole generation of authors in Brazil.
