Abstract

This article sets out to analyse those dissertations defended on the Master’s Degree Course in Information Science at the Federal University of Paraiba which deal with the theme ‘study of the user’. These dissertations are concerned with the users of public and university libraries. The following analytical categories were used in the study: type of user, titles, objectives, literature review, conclusions and suggestions.
