This essay presents what Anthropology has identified as multinaturalism as a fact; it makes particular use of Cadena’s idea of the anthropo-not-seen as an entry into this issue. It argues for the need to construct a coherence that guarantees the full right to exist for the modes of being that in this essay are characterized as ontological insurgencies, which establish multinaturalism. From this, it argues for an examination of the history of philosophy in search of metaphysics that fulfils such a demand; it also presents the first examinations of such an endeavour, conducted based on the work of Étienne Souriau, especially in Diferentes modos de existência (2021). To this end, a Whitehead-inspired conception of metaphysics is assumed, namely, that of constructing coherence in and for a given cosmos. The hypothesis that Souriau presents an instaurative pluriexistential metaphysics is used as a methodological tool, and this hypothesis is proposed as an entry into his work. It is further argued that the plurality guided by ontological insurgencies must assume the role of criterion for validating such a metaphysics. Finally, it shows how an issue of equivocation is intertwined in the problem as a whole.
