This article analyzes María Zambrano's critique of western rationality, a model based on the logos and logical reason that sidelined vital dimensions such as the body, imagination, and sensible experience. Facing the historical split between reason and life, this study investigates Zambrano's "poetic reason" as a proposal to reintegrate these dimensions historically excluded by the logocentric tradition. Within this theoretical horizon, a dialogue is established with Adriana Cavarero — through her reading of Italo Calvino’s short story "A King Listens" — to discuss the voice as a unique manifestation of existence that evades the logic of control. Finally, it examines how writing, in dialogue with Derrida, Merleau-Ponty, and Blanchot, operates as a liminal experience and a space of openness to the real. The study concludes that Zambrano's critique demands not only an epistemological reformulation but also the emergence of new modes of relationship with language and philosophical writing.
