A semiotic analysis of Jacksoulbrasileiro

Abstract

The proposal of this analysis of the song Jacksoulbrasileiro composed by Lenine (1999), has as focus theoretic the Semiotic of Music developed by José Luiz Martinez (1991, 1996, 1997, 1999 and 2001). In this analysis I will focus on some of the aspects of this theory which, in some way, is more related to the song that is being studied. So, it will be in Musical Reference field of study, or, the musical sign in relation to the object that this analysis tends to develop itself into. Keywords: Music; Semiotics; Jacksoulbrasileiro.
