Abstract

Johan Huizinga in the book Homo Ludens affirms that the game is an absolutely primary category of the life, so essential as much as the reasoning (Homo Sapiens) and the object manufacture (Homo Faber). From this comment, we will seek to present as the playful impulse - meeting of the “formal impulse” with the “sensible impulse” as Friedrich Schiller - crosses through the work of Caetano Veloso. The analysis will be supported by the concept of parody presented for Severo Sarduy (1979) in his studies about the neobarroco. Keywords: Caetano Veloso; Playful impulse; Game; Parody.
