This paper analyzes Embroideries, by Marjane Satrapi (2010), as a graphic memoir work, in light of the feminist theory. Thus, it is divided into six sections in order to define graphic memoir as a genre from Dalmaso's perspective (2015), to contextualize Satrapi's work, and to analyze it from the concepts of compulsory heterosexuality and lesbian continuum (RICH, 2010). Results showed that Embroideries is a relevant graphic memoir of the 21st century that unveils feminist standpoints of resistance in Iran through collective voices.
