Abstract

The relation between reader and literary text can be analyzed in many different ways. Edgar Morin, Tzvetan Todorov and Regina Zilberman raise important questions for us to try a better understanding of literature’s broadness that goes beyond the aesthetic pleasure. The book “Half a Life”, of V.S. Naipaul, is the starting point for our attempt to understand the possible cognitive relations between reader and literary text.
