Abstract

This paper means to articulate Emile Benveniste’s linguistic doctrine with Lacanian Psychoanalytical assumptions, so as to mark the limits of both their approximations and divergences. The theme here is the concept of subject, enunciation and meaning for both thinkers. The hallmark in each doctrine is the centrality taken by Benveniste’s enunciation subject and the subject’s structural decentrality within Lacan´s elaboratio which considers crucial the unconcious in Freud´s conception. It also attempts to demonstrate language and word as a basis of work that the unconcious encloses and its necessary articulation with a discourse.
