This essay presents arguments to support the assertion of the hypothesis that capitalism is an aesthetic regime, which has in maintaining and sustaining the “sharing of the sensitive” through political foundations, in the freedom and in truth of the commodification of everything and everyone in a competitive context of all against all as an ideal. Our critical perspective is based on the discourse analysis (AD), by Eni Orlandi (2009) and on the aesthetics of Jacques Rancière (2009, 2011) and Pablo René Estevez (2011). The empirical material used was a newspaper cover, a campaign and a property advertisement as an example of how that reason in the world is expressed and produces a meaning to the reader in accordance with the capitalist ideology.
