Pregnancy became a period of fragility due to the COVID-19 pandemic. In light of this, this article presents an experience report of the extension project “Fale com a Parteira - PB” (FCP-PB), linked to the Federal University of Paraíba (UFPB) for teleorientations to women in the puerperal pregnancy cycle of the state of Paraíba during the current pandemic. Pregnancy itself is already a phenomenon in which anatomical and physiological changes predispose women to respiratory infections. In the case of Brazilian women, the risk of contamination by the SARS-Cov-2 virus increases due to the situation of socioeconomic and health vulnerability that they are in. Thus, in order to reduce exposure to COVID-19, the project promotes teleorientation and obstetric health education for all pregnant, puerperal and parturient women from Paraíba, via Instagram and WhatsApp. In the four months of the project, women who received free and specialized care by obstetric nurses were encouraged to maintain the recommendations of the World Health Organization (WHO), with regard to social isolation, to reduce the risk of exposure to SARS-Cov-2. In addition, women who needed health services were instructed on referral centers and security measures. The “Fale com a Parteira-PB” project also presented itself with the potential to be replicated by health managers in view of its low cost and quick remote access.
