Abstract

The pandemic caused by SARS-COVID19 highlighted the importance of virtual learning. As a result, quick video editing gained considerable relevance in video training, also known as video coaching or video feedback. Although several video editing programs are available for both personal computers and smartphones, many of them are too complicated for general use or require lengthy processing to complete editing tasks. In view of this, an application (app) for mobile devices was proposed and implemented that could streamline the video editing process in order to make education a more dynamic process. The implemented app had as a case study to facilitate the editing of videos used in the training methodology called "Fortalecendo Laços", in which video coaching is used to make parents aware of their parenting behaviors. The application, in addition to providing a simple dedicated usability interface, also allows a family member to record behavioral videos and send them to the program facilitators. These, in turn, with the virtual tool installed on their smartphones, can edit them remotely and provide behavioral feedback more quickly and without any direct contact with family members. More details about the developed application and the particularities of the case study, which made it possible to streamline the video editing process, are presented below.
