A recepção crítica a O morro dos ventos uivantes: questões de mulher e literatura

O objetivo central deste artigo é fazer um levantamento da fortuna crítica de O morro dos ventos uivantes (1847), da escritora inglesa Emily Brontë, desde as primeiras impressões - que causaram furor na sociedade inglesa oitocentista - até o presente. Este trabalho abordará o contexto histórico em que a obra foi produzida no que diz respeito às questões relacionadas às mulheres escritoras; à escrita de prosa e poesia; o duplo padrão da crítica literária androcêntrica em relação à obras de autoria feminina, sobretudo no que diz respeito ao único romance de Brontë, o qual foi publicado sob um pseudônimo masculino, além de outros aspectos. Será debatido também como esta obra é vista à luz de teorias que tratam tanto de forma quanto de conteúdo do romance, tais como, a Nova Crítica, a feminista, a póscolonial, a marxista, dentre outras.
