Peculiar aspects in Guimarães Rosa’s poetics: the proper nouns

Abstract

This paper examines some aspects of the João Guimarães Rosa´s fictional creation, identifying the way that the Name turns into a word. Based upon a study of somes writings by the author from the Arquivo Guimarães Rosa from the Instituto de Estudos Brasileiros da Universidade de São Paulo – IEB/USP, it tries to show how the writer deals with Language’s elements, using a powerful formula of language alchemy.Keywords: language, João Guimarães Rosa, names, persone.
