PARADIGMS AND MODELS: a proposal of epistemological analysis for Information Science

Abstract

This article presents a proposal of analysis for the information science, through the identification of paradigms and models. The scientific statute of the area also argues and, consequentemente the adequateness of the use of paradigms and models for the science of the information. It still presents, contribution for the quarrel concerning the identification of paradigms in human sciences, special for the information science. Thus, fight one’s way for posterior studies, in the perspective of a epistemological argument, that contribute for the quarrel of the fundamentals of the area of information science.
