Abstract

Published in 2018 by Boitempo, the book by Italian Marxist philosopher Domenico Losurdo, in just over two hundred pages, contains a profusion of historical information and theoretical reflections that are expensive and essential to the knowledge of Western Marxist thought woven throughout the 20th century.  It is a work of calm reading, despite the audacity with which its content is invested. Over six chapters, Losurdo fulfills what it set out to do: it presents how the emergence of Western Marxism took place, its decline (death) and points out the paths to be followed in view of its rebirth.
