The Curriculum Space Journal has released Volume 16, Number 3 of 2023, titled "Everyday school life, aesthetic experimentations, resistance, and the production of worlds". The issue is organized by Professors Dr. Alexandre Simão de Freitas (PPGE/UFPE) and Carlos Eduardo Ferraço (PPGE/UFES; PPGEduC/UFPE), along with Professor Dr. Conceição Gislâne Nóbrega Lima de Salles (PPGEduC/UFPE). This volume brings together research that explores different processes of teaching and learning, emphasizing aesthetic experiments that disrupt events, encounters, and knowledge-making within the everyday spaces and times of schools. It represents ethical-aesthetic-political commitments to the power of everyday theoretical practices that challenge determinisms, oppressions, exclusions, and various mechanisms that diminish lives, thereby producing alternative meanings for education and society. The texts highlight the force of art as an act of resistance, a language of sensations that compels us to rethink the world in different ways and to experience alternative possibilities for life. According to Nietzsche's assertion, "we have art so as not to die of the truth."
