THE TRAINING OF VISUAL ARTS TEACHERS IN CONTEMPORANEITY

The intention of this writing is to articulate authors whose lines of thought help to base training for teachers of visual arts who work in the Brazilian basic school. For that, it is necessary to understand in depth the concept of art and what radically differentiates it from culture. In this context of training, other issues need to be discussed, such as: the school space, the role of the teacher who experiences this learning space and primarily the student, the subject for whom continuing education is intended. The subjective teacher-student relationship also needs to be revised, if what we want to achieve are new ways of school education and learning.
