Abstract

This paper has the objective of reflecting through the memories of an monitor student and of others monitors about the practices lived at “Os Fundamentos da Educação e sua Relevância para as Licenciaturas” monitoring project, with emphases in History of Education I and II subjects - DFE/CE/UFPB, night shift, linked to the Programa de Monitoria of UFPB developed at 2013 to 2016, based in the purpose of remeaning its contributions to the teacher degree. So, was necessary to approach the monitoring programs emergence in the universities and in the Brazilian setting, as 5.540/68 law. The principal authors that directed this studied were: Carvalho et al (2011), Dantas (2014) e Medeiros (2015). In addition, to a better analysis, we reported to legal documents as: the Regimento Geral da UFPB (2017a) and the nº 02/96 e nº 74/1 laws, UFPB. In the end, the discussion about the monitoring practices at the History of Education subjects had used the Le Goff’s (1994) memory idea, resulting in a reference to the students and to the academy.
