Abstract

This paper aims to collect profiles and pages of the social network Instagram to analyze and critically reflect on how literary education with a focus mainly on children's literature is promoted. The data collection takes place based on the netnographic perspective and then these data are organized into graphs that characterize the profiles and pages according to what they post and their understanding of literary reading.  Of the 56 profiles identified, 11 are personal profiles, which mix both personal life content and content related to literary reading, and 45 are pages linked to projects. This distinction somehow characterizes the shared content and the way of interacting with the followers, implying various effects of meaning that are exemplified. The amount of shared content is analyzed from a critical perspective, intending to motivate reflection on the quality of information, since the promotion of a literary education is not effective without a formative process of reading mediators that can begin on the Internet, but is not reduced to what is published there.
