O estudo dos pronomes no ensino da Língua Portuguesa para Estrangeiros

Considering the relevance of enabling the teaching and learning of Brazilian Portuguese (BP) for foreigners, it is important to recognize the main linguistic traits that influence this process. From this perspective, the article addresses sociolinguistics, based on William Labov's “variationist theory”, with regard to the use of pronouns in oral or written modalities. From a brief analysis of normative and descriptive grammars, it is possible to identify different forms in the use of pronouns – specifically: “tu” and “você”; “nós” and “a gente”; “seu(s)”/“sua(s)” and “dele(s)”/“dela(s)”. In parallel, this work analyzes the same content in textbooks aimed at language teaching for foreigners, in order to identify their approach with regard to the morphosyntactic peculiarities of these pronouns. The work includes bibliographical research and descriptive analysis of textbooks most used by foreigners, and discusses the applicability of these books for use by education professionals.
