Tambours in the urbe: As quatro estações and the 's(c)ha(ll)manis' russo-legionary.
Abstract
This article performs a reading/hearing the disc As quarto estações, from the Brazilian rock band Legião Urbana, mainly focusing the dialectics between discursivity and music in the songs of disc. Recognizing a more marked prominence assumed by Renato Russo letters, to which the sound arrangements are subordinated in forms increasingly more intense since then, we point out that disc a particularly well performed conjunction of expressive and empathy-dialogical dimensions of this letters, conjunction these we call (in an imperfect recreation of neologism in Portuguese) the russolegionary ‘sh(c)a(ll)manism’. Keywords: Legião Urbana, Brazilian rock, 80s, discursivity and music.Downloads
