A alfabetização que necessitamos: informação e comunicação para a cidadania

As constantes mudanças originadas pela tecnologia, informação, comunicação e cultura, reclamam a formação de uma nova epistemologia da educacão, voltada para as competências informacionais onde os sujeitos estejam aptos a participar efetivamente de uma cultura da Informação. Neste artigo se examinam questões complexas, com uma grande trajetória histórica e carga política – cultura, cidadania e alfabetização – com o objetivo de destacar a importância que adquirem neste momento e a necessidade de instaurar uma autêntica cultura da informação. Os autores apresentam uma proposta educativa para a cidadania baseada no desenvolvimento de competências em informação e da comunicação para a formação cidadã. A proposta inclui habilidades voltadas para o domínio de processos tecnológicos, cognitivos, educativos, e, principalmente, comunicativos e axiológicos.Downloads
