Arquivologia e Ciência da Informação: de mãos dadas?

Este artigo parte de considerações históricas e conceituais da teoria da classificação para retomar as iniciativas sobre a estruturação das áreas do conhecimento no Brasil em tabelas de áreas do conhecimento, pelo CNPq. Mediante pesquisa bibliográfica e documental, analisa a concepção e as relações da Arquivologia e da Ciência da Informação nessas tabelas, sob a tradução de olhares políticos, institucionais, sociais e conceituais sobre essas áreas e seus desdobramentos ao longo do tempo. Entre essas disciplinas e suas especificidades, retoma as discussões empreendidas em 2005, quando da criação de uma comissão, pelo CNPq, para estudar a reestruturação das referidas áreas. A análise documental traz reflexões sobre a não implementação da proposta resultante desse estudo e as repercussões da manutenção da tabela da década de 1980 para a Arquivologia no âmbito da Ciência da Informação.Downloads
