Teorias econômicas na era da globalização sob o viés do meio ambiente

Abstract

The objective of the paper is to verify how the accelerated theories, capitalism and derivations, that is, neoliberal
capitalism and social capitalism, in the current globalized scenario, have disposition about the conduction that the
environment assumes. The methodology used to achieve this purpose was with the use of theoretical-documentary
methods, with deductive and speculative techniques. This research analyzes how the market is established in
psychological and financial terms and how it impacts on the continuities of the sustainable environment based on
the teachings of António José Avelãs Nunes (2012) through his book on the current crisis of capitalism, in that one
understands economic and financial instability in the face of environmental demands. Finally, we reached the
conclusion that socio-environmental capitalism reveals itself as a non-drastic possibility of breaking the system
and, at the same time, more rewarding for the environment.
