Abstract

O texto trata da evolução do ensino profissional na Paraíba no período republicano, focalizando as iniciativas do poder público. Analisando o ensino profissional na esfera da educação secundária, toma-se o conceito de ensino técnico no sentido amplo, discutindo-se suas relações com a cultura escolar brasileira.
