Abstract

The present study is a bibliographical research, with a qualitative approach, which aims to map the use of software in the researches of Post-Graduation in Education, describing the different ways of contribution the software offers for the research. For data collect, the site of the Catalog of Theses and Dissertations of CAPES was consulted, where the descriptor "utilização de software" was researched, which returned 118 occurrences, when applying the filter by knowledge area with the optionEducation were found 11 titles, being of these 10 dissertations and 1 doctorate. This research presents a categorization of the ways of use and contributions of research software in education that involves it. And its motivation is to provide information on the integration of information technologies with teaching and research practices.

Tatiana Dantas dos Santos, Instituto Federal de Educação, Ciência e Tecnologia do Rio Grande do Norte (IFRN)

Technologist in Analysis and Systems Development by the Instituto Federal de Educação, Ciência e Tecnologia do Rio Grande do Norte (2017), with emphasis on systems analysis and web development.

During graduation I practiced in IT at the Dean of Research and Innovation IFRN.

I studied the disciplines of Knowledge Production (2018.1) and Management and evaluation of professional education policies (2018.2), as a special student, through the Graduate Program in Professional Education (Master's) of IFRN.

Márcio Adriano de Azevedo, Instituto Federal de Educação, Ciência e Tecnologia do Rio Grande do Norte

PhD (2010) and Master (2006) in Education (Politics and Management), from UFRN. Specialist in Educational Processes (2003) and graduated in Pedagogy (2000), also from UFRN. Studied Post-Doctoral internship (2013-2014) in Sociology of Education, at the University of Minho / Portugal. He is a professor at the Instituto Federal de Educação, Ciência e Tecnologia do Rio Grande do Norte - IFRN, working on courses, projects and the Graduate Program in Professional Education - PPGEP / IFRN. Topics of interest: Evaluation of public policies, Professional education, Training and teaching work, Education of the Countryside and Traditional Peoples, Youth and Adult Education, and research and innovation. Member of Brazilian academic-scientific associations, such as SBPC and the Brazilian Monitoring and Evaluation Network, and of international associations, such as the Portuguese Society of Educational Sciences. He currently serves as IFRN's Dean of Research and Innovation.
