Abstract

Looking up, in this text, discuss questions related to the language of graphic humor (while charge), a theoretical framework of a cultural history of comic humor and practices, trying to think this production from its producers and its place production. By highlighting the social and political nature of the charge, we can see the idea as a cartoonist subject acting on reality, since by incorporating certain events, build and disseminate a particular social vision of the world. Being a manifestation laughter inherent human, experienced through cultural practices, it is pertinent that this phenomenon is thought of in historical terms. He is not a random expression. Despite being a natural pleasure, does not exist without a cause; practice is needed, one reason could call it life. Nobody laughs because he decided to express laughter, but because he felt compelled to express a feeling that was produced by a humorous situation. The charge, therefore, is a means, not an end to the production of meanings and significances of daily events. Our time frame is the 1980s, a period of political transition period that allows us to visualize the negotiations [between cartoonists, editors and newspaper company] around this production.
