VOZES QUE CANTAM, VOZES QUE DANÇAM: PRÁTICAS COTIDIANAS E TRADIÇÃO CULTURAL EM LARANJEIRAS – SE

Abstract

Cultural cradle of Sergipe, the city of Laranjeiras known as the “Athens of Sergipe”, where they maintain a strong culture of immaterial and material, faces the challenges of the current times. The installation of a campus of UFS, promoting the restoration of the old Quarteirão dos Trapiches through Project Monumenta (IPHAN), sparked some tensions in the local population that has questioned the advantages and disadvantages of living in a city-heritage. The registration of common voices of residents, but the protagonists of space and time experienced, through interviews, citizen to search their incorporation available educational institution to serve the social and valuing its people.
