A Liga Anticomunista Mundial e a Confederação Anticomunista Latino-Americana: um caso de cooperação anticomunista intercontinental na América Latina (1972-1977)

Abstract

This article analyzes the foundation of the World Anti-Communist League and the Latin American Anticommunist Confederation during the National Security Dictatorships in “Conesul”. We start from the description of the complaint of repressive collaboration with the Paraguayan dictatorship of two police officers to problematize the existence and some aspects of the foundation and functioning of the respective entities. We aim to map, analyze, qualify and clarify the involvement of some organizations and subjects of Latin American anti- communist in the World Anti-Communist League in the context of National Security Dictatorships and of the Terrorism of State. The historical sources that we have used to problematize the purpose of this article were searched in the Terror Archive located in the Museum of Justice,Documentation Center and Archive for the Defense of Human Rights in Asunción, Paraguay.
