CONTRIBUTIONS OF HISTORICAL DIALECTIC MATERIALISM TO THE PROJECT IN THE OBSERVATORY NETWORK FOR THE TRAINING OF VISUAL ARTS TEACHERS.

The article discusses the choice of the scientific method in research on teacher education in visual arts. Such a task requires researchers to have a theoretical and methodological choice among the multiple approaches to scientific research. When researchers choose historical dialectical materialism in their investigation, they are assuming a world view, of man and of society in their concentricity. Researching from the Marxist theoretical matrix means entering the social phenomena going beyond its immediacy. As a philosophical science, historical dialectical materialism represents in the field of research the fundamental leap in concrete analysis of the real and the possibility of action in the field of social transformation. It is therefore argued that the Observatory for the Formation of Teachers of Visual Arts network project in its investigations of art and teacher formation finds in the dialectical historical materialism the necessary contributions for the development of its investigations.
