Vol. 22 No. 2 (2017): ACTA SEMIOTICA ET LINGVISTICA
The second issue of volume 22 of Acta Semiótica et Lingvistica confirms the intercultural objective of the periodical, as it brings together articles on semiotics and linguistics applied to different disciplines: cinematography, advertising, popular literature, deaf culture, among others. We also continue, in this issue, the commemoration of one hundred years of Greimas, with the translation of the pronouncement that Rastier made at UNESCO, in Paris, at the opening of the year in his honor. Another translation is being published in this section: the literary text In the middle of the road by Carlos Drummond de Andrade, transcoded into Brazilian Sign Language by Língua Profa. Dr. Edneia Alves who also contributed with an interview to ASEL about her professional and academic trajectory. The reading of this issue will certainly benefit all those who are interested in the subjects discussed, especially due to the commitment of other universities and Academic Centers, in particular the Institut Ferdinand de Saussure, have demonstrated in cooperating with us in the construction of this periodical that has been seeking to embrace the new in science by building a critical history of semiotics and linguistics.
