Vol. 24 No. 1 (2019): Acta Semiotica et Lingvistica
This first issue contains articles produced by national and foreign researchers, who analyzed texts, literary or otherwise, within the profile of contemporary semiotic trends such as Greimasian, Peircean and Semiotic cultures. In this last direction, goes the text Devenir un Bouddha: analyze semiotique des visualizations dans le bouddhisme tibetain, written by Louis Hérbert of the Department of Letters and Humanities of the University of Quebec Rimouski (UQAR). Based on Rastier's (2010) anthropic zone theory, to which he attaches “quelques precisions et complements”, that author makes a study of Sādhana, a type of Vajrayāna practice, that is, Hindu-Tibetan Tantric Buddhism. The translation focuses on this text by the Canadian author, as well as the interview highlights his academic and professional career.
