Abstract

This article investigates Sérgio Sant’Anna’s short story “O espetáculo não pode parar”, emphasizing: the staging within a staging in the narrative; the changes of the discursive ethos; the end of the text verisimilitude; and cultural elements that evaluate entertainment rather than art.
