Abstract

Contemporary society is experiencing a time when physical, social, political, economic and environmental pathologies are intersecting, with countless repercussions on human health and the environment. Multiple intoxication has become institutionalized, generating violations of the right to health, food and the environment, with serious impacts on the protection of life. This article uses Ulrick Beck's Risk Society as a theoretical framework, postulating that the current development model has designed a modernity that produces contaminating chemical substances, risks to health and the environment, converging in the paradigm of the chemicalization of human life. These substances reach the population through pesticides, indiscriminately used medicines, and even masked in an increasingly industrialized diet containing numerous chemical components. The text aims to discuss the environmental injustice caused by the violation of human rights through drug and food poisoning today. The problem of this research aims to answer whether the process of chemicalization of human life violates the rights to human and environmental health and to a balanced environment. The methodology used in this work was deductive, based on bibliographical research.
