(FR) Social Rights and Development: Relations of Proximity and Antagonism in the Social Doctrine of the Catholic Church

Abstract

If the study of problematic relationships between social Rights, development and the Catholic Church raises a lot of questions, there is one question which is the most important: how the Catholic Church definits development? This question is near of a second question about the effectiveness of social rights: the Catholic Church recognizes and protects its rights whereas it defends a theological conception of human? How the Catholic Church can protect its rights whereas it hasn't same mean to the political power? The study of relationships between social rights end development in catholic social doctrine, from papal documents, has revealed the existence of a long and complex process. During this process, the Catholic Church has recognized these rights (I). This process has led to build the catholic doctrine around the concept of development: this concept has moved to become "full development"(II).
